Privacy Policy
We collect what it takes to book trips and run the fishing tools, and not much else. Your card never touches our servers — Stripe handles payment. Fish photo identification runs on your phone, not in our cloud. Search history purges itself after 30 days. We don't run ads, and we don't sell your data to anyone. Ever.
1. What we collect
- Booking details: your name, email, party size, trip and payment status. Card numbers go directly to Stripe; we never see or store them.
- Account basics when you sign in (email; a one-tap link, no password stored with us).
- Things you post: Dock Board catches (display name, species, length, spot, note, photo) and reviews. These are public by design.
- Subscriptions you ask for: bite-alert emails, newsletter, and push-notification tokens for alerts you turn on.
- Lightweight product signals: what was searched on the booking pages — purged automatically after 30 days. No advertising trackers, no third-party analytics scripts.
- Offers and join requests: the name, email, party size, price, and note you send a captain when you make an offer or ask to join a shared boat, plus the captain's answer.
- Guest standing: after a trip, captains may rate your party's conduct aboard (a 1–5 conduct score, whether they'd take you again, conduct tags such as on-time or followed-crew, and an optional private note) tied to your booking email. We combine these with your completed-trip count into a standing summary. It is shown only to verified captains deciding on a booking, join request, or offer from you — never to other anglers, never publicly, never sold.
- Captains additionally provide credentials and calendar data under the Captain Marketplace Agreement.
2. What stays on your phone
The apps do their heaviest work locally. Fish photo identification runs on-device (the photo is analyzed by a model on your phone; identification is not a cloud upload). Your location powers maps and nearby-spot features on the device — we do not maintain a server-side history of where you are. AR fish measuring happens entirely on-device. Offline chart packs live on your phone.
3. How we use what we collect
To run bookings and payments, issue boarding passes, send the alerts and emails you asked for, show community content you chose to post, keep the marketplace honest (verification, fraud and abuse prevention), and improve the product from aggregate signals. That's the list.
4. Who sees it
- Your captain gets the booking details needed to run your trip.
- Service providers that operate the Platform under their own safeguards: Stripe (payments), Supabase (database and authentication), Cloudflare (hosting), Resend (email), Apple (push notifications).
- Authorities only if the law requires it.
- No one else. We do not sell or rent personal data, and we don't share it with advertisers — the Platform carries no ads.
5. Retention
Booking and payment records are kept as long as accounting and law require. Search signals purge at 30 days. Dock Board posts and reviews stay until you remove them or ask us to. Push tokens are dropped when you disable notifications or delete the app.
6. Your choices
Unsubscribe links live in every marketing email. Push alerts turn off in your device settings or in the app. To access, correct, or delete your data — including your account, posts, or booking history where the law allows — email support@ironjetty.com and we'll handle it directly. That includes your guest standing: ask and we'll tell you your trip count, conduct score, and take-again rate, and you can dispute a rating you believe was not about conduct — we investigate, and ratings found to be retaliatory or based on anything other than behavior aboard are removed and the captain is dealt with under the Captain Agreement.
7. Children
The Platform is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. Bookings must be made by adults.
8. Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted by row-level security in our database, payment data lives with Stripe (PCI-DSS), and captain credential documents are held in private storage with signed, logged access. No system is perfect; if a breach affects you, we will tell you promptly.
9. Changes and contact
Updates are posted here with a new version and date. This policy is governed by Texas law. Questions: support@ironjetty.com · IronJetty LLC, Galveston, Texas.
