Galveston, Texas · Verified Gulf Charters

The pull.

There's a second — when the rod doubles over and the drag starts screaming — when nothing else on Earth exists. IronJetty exists so that second happens with a captain who's licensed, insured, and proven. Verified with the actual issuers. Built like the jetties.

The Reason

Nobody remembers
a normal Saturday.

They remember the first snapper over the rail. The bull red that wouldn't quit at sunset. The shark that made the reel sing at midnight from the sand. That's what your captain is selling — and it's why who's holding the wheel matters.

First Fish
The one that starts it all
Party boat, $35 seat, a nine-year-old, and a snapper as long as their arm. That story gets told for forty years.
The Fall Run
Bull reds at sunset
September in the marsh. The water goes copper, the tails come up, and your guide put you on them because this is his backyard.
After Dark
Midnight, from the sand
Kayak drops a bait past the second bar. Then the clicker screams in the dark. Land-based shark fishing — first-class on IronJetty, invisible everywhere else.
The IronJetty Standard

Anyone can print
the word “verified.”

We make it mean something. Every credential is checked with the institution that issued it, timestamped, and locked in a tamper-evident record — and a listing cannot appear in search without one. That's not policy. It's built into the database.

1

Licensed

USCG Merchant Mariner Credential confirmed with the National Maritime Center — type, route, and tonnage matched to the trips sold. TPWD All-Water Guide License sighted. Federal reef-fish and HMS permits for the trips that need them.

2

Insured

Commercial marine insurance verified directly with the broker — the one check no big booking site does. Passenger and crew coverage confirmed. Personal-boat policies rejected.

Re-verified with the broker, every year.

3

Reviewed

Real reputation imported at onboarding — verified external reviews and trade references. After that, reviews come only from completed, paid trips. Search rank comes from verification and performance. There is no pay-for-position lane. Ever.

The Water

Pick your fight.

Offshore iron, bay finesse, party-boat Saturdays, or a midnight beach and a screaming drag — every one of them behind a verified badge.

Red Snapper — federal season Jun–Oct
Bull Redfish — the fall run
Shark — boat or beach, Apr–Aug
Speckled Trout — year-round
Tuna — 36-hr runs, summer–fall

Book in a minute

Pick the date, sign the waiver on your phone, pay with Apple Pay. QR boarding passes land in the app — your captain scans them at the dock. No clipboards, no cash apps, no "did you get my Venmo?"

The Live Dock

Cancellations and open seats hit the feed in real time, pushed to anglers nearby. A last-minute trip at a last-minute price — from a captain whose credentials you can actually read.

Weather honesty

Gulf weather does what it wants. When a captain calls it, your refund is automatic and total — the money's back before the coffee's cold, and the Live Dock helps you rebook the window.

For Captains & Guides

Keep the wheel.

The big platforms take 10–30% and sell your rank to whoever surrenders the most. IronJetty is 7% flat, your rank is earned by your credentials and your record, and your customers stay yours.

1

Apply

Fifteen minutes in the IronJetty Captain app. Boat, kayak-bait, or land-based — the standard adapts to how you actually operate.

2

Snap your docs

Phone camera: MMC, TPWD license, COI, permits. We chase the Coast Guard and your broker — not you.

3

Go live

Badge issued, listing searchable, calendar open — plus the toolkit: compliance wallet, Live Dock, crew board, QR check-in, and an iPad command bridge called the Helm.

Why IronJetty Exists

Verified matters.
I'd know.

“I spent a career where credentials were checked, standards were real, and trust was earned — not bought. IronJetty runs the same way.

IronJetty is founded and 100% owned by a retired U.S. Army Sergeant in Galveston, Texas. The granite jetties take the Gulf's beating so everything behind them stays safe — that's the job this platform does for the people who fish here and the professionals who take them.
