Access: NO road access - the granite jetties at the Gulf mouth of the Port Mansfield Channel (East Cut) are reachable only by boat, ~9 miles east of the harbor ramps across the Laguna Madre. Most anglers beach on the protected sand inside the north jetty and fish from the rocks or adjacent surf. Coordinates mark the north-side landing area.

Access: GNIS-listed bay indentation on the Laguna Madre's west shoreline ~3 mi north of Port Mansfield harbor — the heart of the town's famous west-side wade and drift flats. Minutes from the public ramps; guides pole and drift the grass flats between the shoreline and the ICW.
- Fish potholes in the grass with weedless soft plastics; big trout hold on the sand-grass transitions.
- Get off plane well outside the flat and drift or wade in — the fish are shallow and spooky.
